About Curry College

Curry College is a private liberal arts-based institution in Milton, which is a town in the US state of Massachusetts, in Norfolk County, with more than 26 000 people, living within its limits, as estimated during the 2000 census.

Curry College was established in 1879, as the School of Elocution, on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue, by Anna Baright, who married the school's namesake, Samuel Silas Curry, in 1882. The school's first chancellor was telephone inventor, Alexander Graham Bell.

Curry offers its students certificates, and bachelor's and master's degrees in 20 majors, its enrollment being approximated at a number of nearly 3900 students.

Athletics

Curry's athletic teams are known as the Colonels, and they compete in NCAA Division III, in TCCC. Their distinctive colors are purple and white.
